This event brings together Women in Data Science Zürich (WiDS), Responsible AI Innovation Group (ZHAW) and Luar Labs for an in-person discussion about data governance in the AI era, grounded in the European Commission’s framework for Trustworthy AI.

The program starts with a cross-sector panel (NGO, industry, academia) to surface real tensions and best practices in responsible AI and governance today. It then shifts into small, facilitator-led roundtables where participants work through the Commission’s seven dimensions: human agency and oversight, technical robustness and safety, privacy and data governance, transparency, diversity and fairness, societal and environmental well-being and accountability.

The aim of workshops is to translate principles into concrete decisions, trade-offs and examples from practice.

Ricardo Chavarriaga (Co-lead SCRAI, Lead Responsible AI Innovation group, Centre for Artificial Intelligence, ZHAW) will be participating in the panel discussion. Anika Hannemann (Head of Research at SCRAI, Senior Researcher at ZHAW) will hold a workshop.

Please note: Participation is limited. Spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration will close once all places are filled. Feel free to register here.
